A Mean Dog is Just a Untrained Dog, its not the Breed
One of the greatest joys of dog ownership is the tight bond we experience and encourage with
our dogs. People who have a mean dog breed as they believe do not enjoy this; mostly it is from improper training or lack of obedience
training. There are a lot of dog lovers out there in the world who really love their dogs as members of their families some as much as
their kids.
Obedience Training for Your Dog
Begin obedience training for your dog as soon as possible. If you have trouble controlling your dog, you should bring your dog and your child
to an obedience class to help you get started. The dog of course responds to obedience training, being easy to train and it thrives on
learning.
Untrained Dog is a Mean Dog Breed
Never reward a dog that jumps up on people by giving them the attention they are seeking. When you come home, ignore your dog's frantic
attempts at attention seeking until he calms down, then you praise him if not you are making what is referred to as a mean dog.
Never allow your child to approach or touch an unknown dog while it is eating, especially if it is eating a bone as this brings out the wolf
in almost any dog breed. Do not allow your child to invade your dog's space especially while your dog is eating. Teach your dog to maintain
a good temperament in the case of having his food bowl taken away while he's eating or removing a chew toy from his mouth.
Dog barking can be a major problem, especially if it's your dog. Dog barking can be controlled through a number of ways, like having some
dog breed info, but as with all forms of dog training, positive reinforcement helps more than hitting your dog
or just shouting at him to quiet down.
Studies show that misbehaviors in dogs are pretty normal, barking at the mailman, jumping on a visitor, digging a hole in the backyard and
even running after a jogger. The barking can be stopped though, if you are consistent, they are just not a mean dog breed.
Dogs that are not trained from the beginning to follow the commands of its master will sometimes be called a mean dog breed
but they are just a untrained dog.
