Cross Breed Dog
Cross Breed Dog Can Be Very Loving
They can be friendly towards everyone and kind and gentle with children. When you are thinking about picking up a cross breed dog, chances are the price is going to be right, but that should not be the reasons you are picking up a cross breed. A cross breed dog can be a very loving pup to have, chances it will not have any inbreed problems that pure breeds have.
Cross Breed Dogs May Not Have Genetic Problems
For instance, breeding two dogs with similar genetic weaknesses can lead to the new litters born with an increased chance of the health problems associated with those breeds. Most people get mixes of some sort, because rumor has it that purebred dogs can have personality problems because of inbreeding or because the original gene pool is too small.
Cross Breed Pups Are still Puppies
Once the puppies are born and weaned, what are you going to do with them? I've seen advertisements by people for puppies four weeks of age and let me tell you, those puppies are NOT ready to be removed from their mother. While cross breed puppies are very cute indeed, they grow into small, medium or large sized energetic dogs that are both alert and athletic. It’s often impossible to tell whether a new dog will be an alpha or not, especially when it’s a puppy. A tip when the puppies are playing claps your hands one time very load and do not pick the pup that runs away. Puppies are much easier to condition to a lesser status within your home’s pack, even if their natural tendency is toward dominance.
Please, don’t get a cross breed dog for the wrong reasons.
